The Best Luxury Hotel Stays in London

London is a massive city that has a population of over 8.9 million people and attracts roughly 30 million tourists. So you can imagine that there is a high number of luxury hotels to accommodate these tourists from all over the world. However, as there are so many to choose from, we’ve selected three of the best-rated hotels that are perfect for your luxury getaway in London.

Claridge’s in Mayfair

Starting off with Claridge’s, which is an iconic hotel in the capital. This is certainly one of the most luxurious hotels, with rooms costing roughly £842 per night, which is certainly on the upper end. Furthermore, Claridge’s is one of the oldest hotels in London, which was visited by Queen Victoria during a visit to see Empress Eugenie of France in 1860. Since then, it has been open and closed for a number of renovations. Despite its age, it has managed to stay above the rest and give people the best hospitality experience in the capital.

The hotel has had many years of celebrities walking in and out, but during World War 2, it was accommodation for royalty. The Queen of the Netherlands and the Kings of Greece, Norway and Yugoslavia all visited Claridge’s.

One of the frustrating things about Claridge’s is that it doesn’t have its own dedicated car park. That being said, there is plenty of parking in Mayfair which is just a short walking distance away.

The Dorchester in Hyde Park

Up next is the Dorchester, located on the outskirts of Hyde Park, which has recently gone through with a huge refurbishment in 2024. This new refurbishment also includes additional floors of new rooms and suites.

This hotel has quite the history, with Elizabeth Taylor signing her Cleopatra contract in a bath and has a hint of Pierre-Yves Rochon. Not to mention that the Artist’s Bar sparkles with a mirrored ceiling. There is no better place in London than to enjoy caviar, local oysters and an exquisite Peter Head cocktail. At just £902 per night, this is a hotel that can make your luxury getaway in London.

Raffles London at The OWO Hotel

Last but certainly not least is the Raffles London at The OWO hotel. This fantastic hotel has history in its walls as it was the War Office for Winston Churchill, where he commanded his staff on the Wraparound staircase.

That being said, it is one of the more modern hotels, which received a £1.5 billion investment from the Mumbai-founded Hinduja Group back in 2016. After 7 years, the investment certainly seemed worth it as the 120-room hotel was completed. Along with its suites and nine luxurious restaurants. Along with this, it also has a selection of three bars and a 20-metre and a 27,000 square foot Guerlain spa.

Summary
